Reading at the Plaza – Animalsville: Finding Little Doggins

Calling book lovers of all ages!
A special Children’s Reading at the Plaza will feature local author Virtuous Cornwall
who will lead an interactive reading of one of her picture books followed by a
hands-on activity to inspire young writers.
At the same time, adults will indulge in outdoor silent reading followed by a
book talk on this month’s special selection: Kin by Tayari Jones.
In partnership with Dodge Poetry, the program will open with a performance by Mia X,
the City of Newark’s inaugural Poet Laureate, and a guided breathing experience led by
Breathe, then Read™. Attendees will be entered into a giveaway for free NJPAC tickets.
