Newark Arts Council's Online Newsletter


The Newark Arts Council releases an e-blast to it’s entire contact list each month. The newsletter includes upcoming events, detailed information about arts happenings in and around the city, and best of all it reaches over 1,000 people! It even gets posted to our Twitter and Facebook accounts! If you would like to be a part of this, please review the guidelines for submission below and e-mail them no later than the 20th of each month* to Jade Lien at jade@newarkarts.org.

*Please note if your event is happening at the beginning of the month, please send information by the 20th of the month prior.


Guidelines for Submission

Respect the Dates!
Information should be received by an NAC staff member NO LATER THAN the 20th of each month. Anything received beyond that date will not be included (this includes any corrections you want to make to what you've sent), no exceptions. Newsletters will be sent out on or around the 1st of each month.

System/File Req's
Your event information, press releases, Open Calls and RFPs should be sent as a Word document (.doc) or text-only in the body of an e-mail. Please no PDFs. And remember, you're not writing a novel. Please keep it concise. If you forget the who/what/when/where, we might too. Please proof before sending!

Image Restrictions
Images make an HTML e-mail even more attractive, but PLEASE remember we cannot include any files that exceed 70 kb each. Be sure to send your images as JPEGs or GIFs. No (.png) and no (.tif).

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: If you are sending an image with the text information as part of that image, please send a text-only clip. If that is not included, we don't include it.
