The Newark Arts Council (NAC) is accepting
resumes for teaching artists in visual, and
performing arts (dance, drama & music) for
participation in an exciting artist-in-residency
program in Newark City Public Schools.
The program is open primarily to local elementary,
middle and high school students.
The program offers teaching artists competitive pay,
training and great experience!
Applicants must have: an arts-centered education and training, experience
in developing and managing end-of-year exhibitions and/or performances,
experience working with diverse school-age youth, experience working in
New Jersey Public Schools, possess excellent writing skills to develop lesson
plans, adminstrative acuity and effective communication skills Bi-Lingual
Spanish/Portuguese a plus.
