Tinnetta Bell:

Tinnetta SheLyse Bell, a native of East Orange, New Jersey, is a self-taught artist who has been drawing since early childhood. Her elementary school teachers recognized her talent immediately and placed her in what they considered advanced art classes. From the beginning, Tinnetta knew she was destined to be an artist. With her God-given gift and instinctive raw talent, Tinnetta is emerging as a distinctive figure in the realm of art.

In addition to being an artist, Tinnetta Bell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Art from Rutgers University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. Tinnetta is a full time social worker in the field of children’s protective services.

Tinnetta’s intricacies combined with her perfectionist flair have managed to catch the attention of some of the most esteemed artists and art collectors. Tinnetta’s work is displayed and sold through galleries on the East Coast as well as the ever popular Ethnic Expressions Catalog.

Tinnetta is honored to have her work owned by nationally acclaimed artists such as Alonzo Adams, who has taken her on as his protégé. Some patrons of Tinnetta’s work include Kay Gee (formerly of Naughty By Nature), Dedra Tate of Flavor Unit Records and Sheri Hugely (formerly of La Face Records).

“The girl is fierce!” --Artist Alonzo Adams

“When I first saw her work I was drawn across the room… I see hints of a master evolving.” -- Artist Leroy Campbell

“I have had the opportunity to speak with and share my thoughts with many artists. They have given me advice and enlightened me in many ways. What I have come to understand and what I believe to be true is that it is all about a journey. It is about the road you travel on your way to becoming what you will be. I just want to take everyone that is willing to come along, with me. I am at the point in my life where I am taken seriously as an artist. I know this is just the beginning and there is a long, exciting road ahead of me to travel. That road will consist of hard work and concentration on developing my skills. It will consist of defining and perfecting a style that I call my very own. This artistic goal is something I am very enthusiastic about and striving hard to achieve. When you look at my work, I want you to say - Tinnetta did this. I know people like what they see now, and I am looking to achieve something greater and stronger. I will wear the title of ‘fine artist’ with highest regard. My best is yet to come.”

After the successful debuts of the limited editions “Oops” and “Gaze Innocent”, Ms. Bell is currently working with a variety of themes to enhance to her upcoming series of limited and open editions.
