Rui Soares has been passionate about photography since the early days of his childhood in Portugal. His inspiration came from his father who valued photography for its ability to record special moments and emotions throughout the life of his family. His prized possession was a 35mm Canon SLR camera which he sadly had to sell in order to help pay for the airplane tickets to relocate his family to America.

Once in America, Rui followed his father's footsteps by purchasing his own camera at the age of 14 and later on studying photography at the NY Institute of Photography. Since then his photos have been published in such publications such as Eurotuner, Rixmag and Performance VW.
