Mansa Pryor:

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, March 19, 1974. Graduated from Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts in 1997.

Subject Matter:
In my art I deal with beauty, culture, love and soul. I try to capture the soul and beauty of black people in my art. I try to spread the message of peace, love of self, love of each and love of culture in my artwork. Through my artwork, I want to take the viewer to another world of awareness. Take them to another world, free from todays societal problems. A world of peace, love, happiness, beauty and soul. I usually represent Egyptian culture and symbols in my art, to catalogue a time in black peoples history where knowledge, wisdom and understanding was communicated through art.

I'm mostly inspired by anything that is different and creative. I get inspired from House music, sculpture, Egyptian art, a spring flower... Anything that represents beauty and creativity.

Future Goals:
To produce larger artwork and start a publishing company for underground artists.
