John Watts:

Artist Statement
I work two dimensionally in pencil and acrylic. I also combine images in a digital layering technique to create Giclee prints. Three dimensionally I work in clay building sculpture and pottery. I also produce bronze and silver jewelry.

Most of my adult life I have earned my living as a teacher and potter. Currently I teach pottery for the Newark Museum and Rutgers University Newark. I received my BA in Art Education from Kean University and an MA and an MFA from the University of Iowa, in Painting with a minor in ceramics.
