Fine artist and textile designer Jennifer S. Adams has been exploring the world of art and design academically and professionally for the past decade. Her work begins by discovering visual "elements" in everyday surroundings and representing them in multiples, contemplating their meaning through repetition. By making shifts from their original form in color, scale and texture, a leap ensues from bland recognition to a sense of wonder. Whether confined to a painting or given a textile application such as wallpaper or mural, fabric or bedding, there is opportunity for visual exploration and a change in environment. Ms. Adams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Design from Philadelphia University in 1994 and a Master of Fine Art degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2001. |
