Black Coffee
I had morning coffee black
left-over Tuesday
from sore Monday elbows
searching for room
wondering how big cubicles are in Heaven
whether my soul can get benefits
I cried sad-happy smiles
looked to the ground
but the ice did not hint
or respond
merely reflected
my black coffee-stained breath
all the melancholies
I forgot to feel |
