"I approach my work with
the philosophy of action painting - the expression of color and
line translated onto fabric. My lifetime involvement in the use
of color as language has been my personal milieu as well as in my
profession as a color stylist. I like to think of my work as an
abstract painting translated into wearable art, incorporating the
ideas of chance and accident."
"I explore the excitement of color using my devore burnout technique
of procien dyes on pure silk and velvet. The vibrant luster of silk
or velvet causes the colors to shimmer when they catch the light."
